1 <br /> REMEDIAL ACTION PLAN <br /> 1605 South EI Dorado Street Stockton California <br /> 1 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Aegis Environmental, Inc (Aegis) has prepared this remedial action plan (RAP) on behalf <br /> of Exxon Company, U S A (Exxon) for the former Exxon service station RAS # 7-0137, <br /> located at 1605 South EI Dorado, Stockton, California The site location is shown on <br /> Figure 1 This RAP includes a summary of site characterization and feasibility <br /> assessment data, proposes a suitable remediation plan, and describes the <br /> implementation of the proposed remediation plan <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2 1 Srte Location and Description <br /> The subject site is located between South EI Dorado Street and Center Street in <br /> Stockton, San Joaquin County, California (Figure 1) The site is situated in a <br /> commercial/residential/light industrial area of southern Stockton, bound on the north by <br /> East 2nd Street, on the east by South EI Dorado Street, on the south by a car wash <br /> facility, and on the west by Center Street <br /> The Exxon service station is presently inactive with no facilities The service station <br /> formerly retailed regular-leaded, regular-unleaded, and extra-unleaded gasolines The <br /> site currently consists of an abandoned building and canopy Previously, the site had <br /> three single-walled steel underground storage tanks(UST) 10,000-gallon extra-unleaded, <br /> 10,000-gallon regular-unleaded, and 10,000-gallon regular-leaded gasoline tanks <br /> (Figure 2) In June 1992, the three UST were removed along with associated piping <br /> 2 2 Previous Investigations/Reports <br /> Quarterly^ groundwater sampling and reporting has been conducted at the site since <br /> July 1991 The last quarterly report was dated September 20, 1993, and included <br /> sampling results from August 24, 1993 <br /> Previous site investigations included the following <br /> On February 5, 1991, a ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey was <br /> performed by NORCAI_ Geophysical Consultants, Inc , of Petaluma, <br /> California The survey was performed in the area of the former UST basin <br /> to locate existing underground facilities prior to drilling soil borings Upon <br /> completion of the GPR survey, Aegis drilled two soil borings on <br /> February 22, 1991, at an angle of 30 degreesfrom vertical, adjacent to and <br /> beneath the UST (SB-1 AND SB-2 on Figure 2) The actual vertical depth <br /> penetrated by the borings was approximately 53 feet below ground surface <br /> (bgs) Soil samples collected from the two borings were analyzed for total <br /> I91 044A RAP 1 <br /> i <br />
