I <br /> PROOLEM ASSESSMENT REPORT <br /> 1806 South El Oarado Street Stockton California <br /> section of the San Joaquin Valley, in the southern section of the Central Valley <br /> Province The San Joaquin Valley is bounded by the Sierra Nevada in the east and the <br /> Coast Ranges ,n the west <br />' Several thousand feet of unconsolidated silty, sandy, and gravelly sediments lie within <br /> the basin Subsurface investigations at the site indicated predominantly clay and silt <br /> with lesser amounts of sand from the surface to a depth of approximately 60 feet bs <br />' The oldest significant water-bearing zone e in the Stockton area is the Mehrten <br /> Formation on the east side of the county The underlying Valley Springs formation <br /> produces minor quantities of fresh water The Mehrten Formation plunges into the <br /> valley from the east at approximately one to two degrees, reaching a depth of about <br /> I800 to 1000 feet bs and between 400 to 600 feet in thickness in the Stockton area <br /> Regional drainage is towards central Stockton, immediately north of the site The <br /> nearest water body is the Mormon Slough about 0 8 miles north of the site Duck <br /> Creek is south southeast of the site by approximately 1 3 miles <br /> Depth to groundwater in the monitoring wells on site has varied from approximately <br /> 42 to 48 feet bs Groundwater elevation measurements have indicated relatively <br /> consistent flow to the east-northeast at an approximate gradient of 0 001 ft/ft <br /> 2 6 Water Well Survey <br /> Well records were researched by Aegis personnel in July 1991 at the California <br /> Department of Water Resources in Sacramento, California The records search <br /> included active and inactive municipal, agricultural, industrial, domestic water, and test <br /> I wells within a 2,000-foot-radius of the site Only one well was reported within the <br /> 2,000-foot radius <br /> ILocation Owner Use Distance from Site <br /> Township 1 [North Range California Water Municipal Approximately <br /> 6 East Section 14 Track Service Company well 650 feet north <br /> F - between Jackson and <br /> Clay Streets and between <br /> Center and South El <br /> Dorado Street <br /> I <br /> 91 044A PAR y <br />
