QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> 1605 South FI Dorado Street Stockton California <br /> 1 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report documents the results of groundwater monitoring conducted on <br /> P g 9 <br /> March 25, 1993, by Aegis Environmental, Inc (Aegis), at the Exxon Company, U S A <br /> (Exxon), inactive service station located at 1605 South EI Dorado Street in Stockton, <br /> California (Figure 1) The monitoring included collection of quarterly depth-to-groundwater <br /> measurements and groundwater samples from three wells, MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3, <br /> located on site (Figure 2) This report is based, in part, on information obtained by Aegis <br /> from Exxon <br /> 'I <br /> 2 0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The 1605 South EI Dorado site is located in a commercial/residential area of south <br /> Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is bounded on the north by East 2nd Street, to <br /> the east by South EI Dorado Street, to the south by a car wash facility, and to the west <br /> by Center Street w ,�� <br /> The Exxon site is an inactive service station that formerly re ed leade and unleaded <br /> gasolmes Existing facilities include a building and a 'open xcavation from the removal <br /> of three underground storage tanks (UST) and asso piping Figure 2 indicates the <br /> location of the site's current and former aboveground and underground facilities An <br /> estimated 500 to 600 yds3 of soil removed during the UST removal are stockpiled and <br /> covered with plastic on site <br /> 3 0 BACKGROUND <br /> On February 5, 1991, a ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey was conducted at the site <br /> by NORCAL Geophysical Consultants, Inc , of Petaluma, California, to locate the UST and <br /> piping On February 22, 1991, two angled soil borings were drilled, at 30 degrees from <br /> vertical, adjacent to the existing UST basin (Figure 2) The actual vertical boring depths <br /> were approximately 53 feet below surface Soil samples collected from the two borings <br /> were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), as gasoline, and benzene, <br /> toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), ethylene dibromide, 1,2-dichloroethane, and <br /> total lead Results of the soil boring and sampling were reported by Aegis to Exxon, in <br /> a "Pre-Tank Replacement Site Assessment Results Report," dated March 5, 1991 j <br /> On July 2 and 3, 1991, Aegis conducted a soil boring investigation and installed <br /> l monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 Results of the investigation were reported by <br /> Aegis to Exxon in a "Phase I Subsurface Investigation Results Report," dated <br /> September 13, 1991 <br /> 97-0449)OMR 1 <br />
