8.0 EMERGENCY RECOGNITION AND PREVENTION <br /> Emergency recognition and prevention training will be included in the Safety Meetings. By discussing the <br /> tasks to be performed,time constraints, emergency procedures, and hazards that may be encountered, <br /> personnel should be aware of the potential hazards. <br /> 9.0 SITE EVACUATIONS <br /> Safe distances will be determined for the location of evacuation meeting points. Factors that influence <br /> safe distances that should be taken into consideration include: <br /> ■ Toxicological properties of any hazard substances spilled or released <br /> ■ Physical state of the substance <br /> ■ Quantity released <br /> ■ Rate of release <br /> ■ Method of release <br /> ■ Vapor density relative to air <br /> ■ Wind and speed direction of smoke and/or chemical vapors <br /> ■ Location of emergency <br /> Onsite safety/first-aid stations will be located in the main office, truck shop.The safety/first-aid stations <br /> will include first aid equipment,fire extinguisher, eye wash station, hand tools, extra monitoring devices <br /> (if location requires this), PPE, and a communication system. <br /> Rally point location will be identified and shared with all employees/people on site in the event of an <br /> emergency situation taking place. Site Manager will take a head count to ensure that everyone is at the <br /> rally point and no one is unaccounted for in emergency situations that require evacuation. <br /> 10.0 CHANGE CONTROL <br /> All management system changes are reviewed, approved or disapproved,with final changes being <br /> administered by the competent person. <br /> P.
