Vapor extraction well VEW 1 was dry The monitoring wells at the
site were constructed at a time when the water table was more than 15 feet lower than it is currently
Monitoring wells MW 1 through MW3 and MW6 are screened from 35 to 55 feet below the surface, and
MW4,MWS,and MW7 are screened from 40 to 60 feet below the surface Table I presents monitoring
well construction details Historical and current depths to ground water are presented in Table 2 None
of the monitoring wells are currently screened across the water table Ground water beneath the site
flows to the southeast at an approximate gradient of 0 001 A map illustrating ground water elevation
and flow direction is included as Figure 3
Ground Water Sarnple_Chemical Analyses Results
Ground water samples were collected from monitoring wells MW 1 through MW7,and vapor extraction
well VEW2 on January 26, 1999 The samples were submitted to Sequoia Analytical (a
California-certified laboratory) for analysis of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes
 !
(BTM, and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) using EPA Method 8020, and total purgeable
petroleum hydrocarbons MPH) as gasoline using EPA Method 8015 Modified A map illustrating
Providing a Competitive Edge
