d
i
Ally,
In follow-up to our conversation , the EHD reviewed the DPE interim remediation work plan
dated 5/24/10. The EHD could not locate a Feasibility Study (FS) that identifies DPE as the most cost-
effective technology for the site. The cost effectiveness would need to be evaluated prior to approving it. In
addition , we need to have mass estimates prepared for sorbed contaminants in the vadose and saturated
zones and what will each component (SVE, GWE) will address. The EHD shall send out a response letter
addressing the need for a Feasibility Study and mass estimate. If you have any questions please contact
me. Thanks.
Frank Girardi , Senior REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
600 E.
