Michelle Price,City of Stockton May 1,2014
Application to Discharge Extracted Groundwater to the Sanitary Sewer
Quick-N-Save#2 Stockton,CA
Page 3
from the temporary holding tank. The effluent sample will be analyzed for total toxic
organics (TTO) per 40 CFR 413 constituent list by United States Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) Methods 624 and 625, gasoline range organics (GRO),
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX compounds), methyl tertiary butyl
ether (MTBE), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) using SW8015B/SW8260B, and lead using
USEPA Method 200.8, unless required otherwise by the City of Stockton's discharge
permit. The pH levels will be obtained in the field. The remaining interim influent,
midfluent and effluent samples obtained throughout the duration of the event will be
collected and analyzed on a monthly basis for GRO, BTEX and MTBE to evaluate
system performance and monitor the contaminant mass extraction rate.
During each site visit, a Stratus technician will complete the following:
• Record total flow of groundwater into the system,
• Record rate of discharge to the sanitary sewer and cumulative discharge total,
• Collect influent, midfluent, and effluent water samples for laboratory
analyses,
• Check system performance,
• Record system running and down times.
Upon completion of the remediation event, Stratus will prepare and submit to the City of
Stockton, a notice of completion including the total volume of groundwater discharged to
the sanitary sewer. As necessary, Stratus will forward the City of Stockton copies of all
analytical reports along with the appropriate chain of custody documentation.
If you have any questions or comments, please call Deborah L. Barr at (530) 313-9974.
Sincerely, pfEss 1p
9 L N'l
STRATUS ENVIRO L,' z
1:1
z
<a4CO
m
0 7 I ;
6
* r
Deborah L.
