Quarterly Report - Second-Quarter 2004
S QUICK N SAVE #2
2057 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California „
1.0. INTRODUCTION
I `
At the request of Charan Dhillon, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
Iquarterly report for the property located at 2057 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California(site)
The site and the surrounding area are Illustrated on Figure 1 Structures and boring and well locations
are illustrated on Figure 2 Site background Information is summarized in Appendix A Ground
water analytical data from the current and previous investigations can be found in Tables 1 and 2
2.0. PROCEDURES
On 28 June 2004, three ground water monitoring wells (MW1, MW2 and MW3) were monitored
and sampled Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines Issued by the Central Valley
Regional-Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage
itank (UST) sites
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
The depth to ground water in each monitoring well was measured from the top of the well casing to
' the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water elevation in each well was
calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation
(Table 3)
' After water levels were measured, approximately six gallons of water(a minimum of 3 casing-water
volumes per well)were purged from monitoring wells MW 1 through MW3 using a Watera-Hydro-
' Lift H pump equipped with a mechanical arm utilized to surge each well with a polyethylene hose
Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during purging
using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are Included in Appendix B Purged water was
' stored on-site in properly labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums
' 2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' Water samples were collected from each purged well after allowing the wells to achieve a miniinum
80% recovery of the pre-purge water volume utilizing 318-inch outer diameter,,length-discrete
polyethylene hose equipped with a ball-valve water tip and Watera-Hydro-Lift H pump Each water
' sample was transferred Into laboratory-supplied 40-m1 volatile organic analysis (VOA) vials
containing 0 5 ml of hydrochloric acid as preservative After collection, the samples were properly
• labeled, placed In a chilled container and transported under chain of custody to Cal Tech
' Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc
1 '
