1 ,
' Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2005
. QUICK N SAVE 41
' 1901 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION y
At the request of Mr Zeb Khan, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
quarterly report for the property located at 1901 South El Dorado Street, Stockton,California(site)
The site and the surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1, Structures, boring and well locations
are illustrated on Figure 2 Site background information is summarized in Appendix A Ground
water analytical data from the current and previous investigations can be found in Tables 1 and 2
2.0. PROCEDURES
On 23 August 2005, ground water monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 were monitored and
sampled Depth to water and total depth was also taken for extraction well EW-1 Field work was
performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality
1 Control Board,(CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites
1 . 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
The depth to ground water in each monitoring well and one extraction well was measured from the
' top of the well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water
elevation in each well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the
surveyed casing elevation (Table 1)
' After water levels were measured, between 7 5 and 15 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing-
water volumes per well)were purged from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 using a Watera-
' Hydro-Lift II pump equipped with a mechanical arm utilized to surge each well with a dedicated
polyethylene hose Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at regular
intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in
Appendix B Purged water was stored on-site in properly labeled, 55-gallon Department of
Transportation (DOT)-approved drums
1
2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' After allowing the monitoring wells to achieve a minimum 80% recovery of the pre-purge water
volume, water samples were collected from each purged well utilizing 5/B-inch outer diameter,
' length-discrete polyethylene hose equipped with a ball-valve water tap and Watera-Hydro-Lift II
pump Each water sample was transferred into three laboratory-supplied 40-m1 volatile organic
analysis (VOA) vials containing 0 5 ml of hydrochloric acid as preservative After collection, the
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
