(AGE) ,
on your behalf for the above-referenced site. The Second Quarter 2014 Report presented
groundwater analytical results for samples collected from monitoring well MWA , screened in the
deep zone at approximately ninety to ninety-five feet below surface grade (bsg) , and monitoring
wells MW-2 through MW-6 , screened in the shallow zone at approximately twenty-five to forty-
five feet bsg .
In the Second Quarter 2014 Report, AGE has recommended the following :
Reduction of monitoring and sampling MW-1 through MW-6 from quarterly to semi-
annually;
Installation of monitoring wells screened in the shallow zone off-site, toward the
northeast, east, and southeast to define the lateral extent of the petroleum hydrocarbon
groundwater plume down-gradient of the source area, and toward the west to define the
lateral extent of the impacted groundwater plume up-gradient of the source; and
• Preparation of a sensitive receptor survey showing receptors within a two-thousand-
square-foot area surrounding the site .
Based on the stable but high concentrations of contaminants of concern detected in
groundwater from the six monitoring wells currently sampled quarterly at this site, the EHD
directs that these six wells be sampled annually instead of semi-annually as proposed by AGE .
Analyze the groundwater samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline (TPH-g);
TPH as diesel (TPH-d); benzene, toluene , ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) ; tertiary-amyl
methyl ether (TAME) , di-isopropyl ether (DIPE) , naphthalene and 1 , 2-dichloroethane ( 1 ;2-DCA) .
