El Dorado St. <br /> Stockton CA_ <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has <br />' reviewed the January 1994 "Problem Assessment Report Covering Soil Contamination <br /> Investigation" prepared by William J. Hunter and Associates for the above referenced site <br />' The report indicates that contamination is present in the area of boring B-2 at 36 feet below <br /> grade This boring was drilled east of the former waste oil tank location <br /> PHS/EHD has also recently reviewed the waste oil tank removal data This tank was <br /> removed on April 20, 1987 The tank excavation was over excavated due to contamination <br /> and re-sampled on August 14, 1987 A soil sample from a depth of 15 3 feet below grade <br />' was analyzed and contamination of 3100 parts per million motor oil was confirmed No <br /> further remediation activity occurred between August 14, 1987 and January 1994. <br /> ' PHS/EHD recommends further assessment of and/or a re-excavation of the former waste <br /> oil tank location based upon the tank removal data and the January 1994 soil boring data <br /> ' For further information please contact Steven Sasson of my staff at (209) 468-3459 <br /> ' Ernest M.
