Hunter & Associates 2220 Loma Vista Dr <br /> Registered Geologists Sacramento, CA 95825 <br /> Petroleum & Mineral Appraisers (916) 972.7941 <br /> FAX (916) 972-1683 <br /> WORKPLAN FOR ADDITIONAL SOIL/GROUNDWATER <br /> INVESTIGATATION <br /> 2315 NO ELDORADO STREET, STOCKTON <br /> SITE CODE 2080 <br /> Prepared by <br /> Wm J Hunter & Associates <br /> November, 1995 <br /> PURPOSE OF WORK <br /> Results of laboratory analyses of groundwater samples obtained <br /> from three (3) monitoring wells placed on the property in 1994 & <br /> 1995 indicate the possibility of an additional source of contami- <br /> nation caused by leakage from the dispensing pumps or product <br /> lines <br /> Prior investigative work has indicated that the removed gasoline <br /> UST' s may have caused some of the soil and water contamination, <br /> although soil samples taken beneath the UST' s did not reveal any <br /> gasoline compounds <br /> This workplan is for the purpose of investigating whether or not <br /> the dispensing pumps and/or product lines have contributed to the <br /> gasoline compounds found beneath the site <br /> PROPOSED WORKPLAN <br /> All work will be under the direct supervision of a geologist from <br /> Wm J Hunter & Associates Necessary drilling permit applica- <br /> tions & fees will be submitted to the County EHD prior to <br /> beginning work <br /> 1 Mobilize a properly licensed auger rig or geoprobe equipment <br /> on the approximate location shown on the attached PLATE I <br /> 2 Soil samples will be taken at 5 ' intervals from 5 ' below <br /> ground surface to the capillary fringe, approximately 45 ' bgl <br /> equipment will consist of a modified California Split Spoon <br /> sampler containing clean metal sleeves , or continuous sampling <br /> equipment Type of equipment used will allow discrete soil <br /> samples to be taken for screening, identification of lithology, <br /> and preservation for laboratory analysis <br /> 3 Field procedures will follow these general guidelines <br /> a) sufficient material from one metal sleeve will be placed in <br /> a plastic bag, labeled, & set aside to allow any petroleum <br /> components to volatize The sample will then be screened by <br /> placing the probe of a properly field calibrated PID meter into <br /> the bag & noting and recording any readings <br /> 1 <br />
