• <br /> b) One sleeve will be promptly sealed by covering the ends <br /> with teflon tape & plastic caps, and thoroughly sealing with duct <br /> tape The sleeve will be clearly labeled and placed on ice <br /> pending transport to a State Certified laboratory for analysis <br /> C) The remaining material will be described by the geologist <br /> in charge, and recorded on field logs . Any unused material & <br /> drill cuttings will be properly contained for storage and later <br /> disposal . If geoprobe "push type" equipment is used, there will <br /> be very little drill spoils and core material produced. <br /> 4 . After obtaining a soil sample at or near the capillary <br /> fringe, a hydropunch or similar type equipment will be pushed <br /> .into the water table a sufficient distance to allow collection of <br /> a water sample for analysis A clean teflon or stainless steel <br /> bailer will be lowered into the hydropunch tool and the removed <br /> water will be placed in previously preserved glass vials for <br /> analysis . Care will be taken to insure that there is no <br /> headspace in the vials, they will be labeled and preserved for <br /> analysis <br /> 5 . After completion of coring and sampling operations, the hole <br /> will be thoroughly grouted from bottom to the surface with a <br /> cement slurry under the direction of a representative of the San <br /> Joaquin County EHD <br /> 6 . Soil & water samples will be transported under chain of <br /> custody to a Certified laboratory with instructions to analyze <br /> for BETX (EPA 8020, ) & TPH-G (EPA 8015M, ) using detection limits <br /> as specified by the San Joaquin County EHD and CWQCB. <br /> After receipt and analysis of all of the data, a report will be <br /> prepared and submitted to the San Joaquin County EHD staff for <br /> review & comment <br /> When approval of this workplan is received, we will solicit bids <br /> from qualified vendors, and submit the required documents to the <br /> State Cleanup Fund staff for pre-approval of the work Our <br /> client has forwarded the required forms and other material to the <br /> Cleanup Fund staff for reimbursement of expenses incurred to <br /> date Once those funds have been released, we will proceed with <br /> scheduling the work We will keep your office informed of the <br /> status <br /> thus of his project <br /> //J `S4�R D GEQ�0. <br /> Wm J H nter & Associates <br /> N e e r 13, 1995 4 WI;LAM J HU ER <br /> valentinep�res <br /> • NO 660 <br /> q�OF CAL�r <br /> 2 <br />
