Wm Hunter, RG, using Spectrum Exploration auger rig & personel
Refer to the above referenced SAR for a detailed description of
that work, The locations of those soil borings are shown on PLATE
IV. Laboratory analyzes from soil samples taken during the
placement of the soil borings revealed that ALL samples were
either below detection limits, or within acceptable levels, for
chlorinated solvents , (EPA 8010 , ) ICAP metals, & TPH-D. BTEX &
TPH-G were below detection limits in all samples except soil
boring #2 at 36' The results of those analyzes are shown on
TABLES Y. VI VI
January, 1994 - A report entitled "PROBLEM ASSESSMENT REPORT
COVERING SOIL CONTAMINATION INVESTIGATION" , was prepared by WJH &
submitted to the San Joaquin County EHD covering the field work
conducted in October, 1993, and discussing the results Refer to
that document for complete details of that work.
F-e-bruary 28 1994 - Correspondence from San Joaquin Co EHD
recommended further assessment and/or re-excavation of the former
waste oil tank site
August 17 , 1224 - WJH prepared a workplan to place one ( 1 ) soil
boring to a depth of 40 ' in the center of the site of the removed
. waste oil tank.
September 3Q, 1994 - One ( 1 ) 2" diameter monitoring well was
placed on the property; details of that work are covered in the
report prepared by WJH titled "Interim Report and Results of
Groundwater Investigation" , dated October 31, 1994 . Laboratory
results revealed the presence of BTEX & TPH-G in both soil &
water samples below 36 ' Refer to TABLES VIII & IX for a summary
of those results.
WORKPLAN FOR PLACING TWO 2" ,DIAMETER SOIL ,BORINGS/ MONITORING
NOTES. ( 1 ) Locations of underground utilities will be identified
prior to beginning the work.
(2) All drilling & completion operations will be done
under the direction of a geologist from Wm J Hunter
& Associates
1 . Mobilize properly licensed auger rig & support truck equipped
with sufficient clean hollow-stem augers to complete each well
without the necessity of decontaminating equipment The tenta-
tive locations of the two wells are shown on PLATE TV, the final
sites may vary slightly due to interference from underground
utilities or overhead power lines A drilling permit application
will be submitted & approved prior to commencing operations.
Drilling bids are currently being solicited; a contractor has not
4
