1 <br /> placed on the property, (refer to PLATE III , ) details of that <br /> work are covered in the report prepared by WJH titled "INTERIM <br />' REPORT AND RESULTS OF GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION" , dated October <br /> 31, 1994 Laboratory results revealed the presence of BTEX & <br /> TPH-G in both soil & water samples below 36 ' Refer to TABLES <br />' VIII & IX for a summary of those results . <br /> June 1 & 2 , 1995 - Two (2) 2" monitoring wells were installed on <br /> the site Refer to the WJH report titled "INTERIM REPORT AND <br /> RESULTS OF GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION" dated August, 1995 for <br /> complete details of that work. Laboratory results of soil <br /> samples from those wells are summarized on TABLE XI The <br /> results of the water samples taken from those two wells are <br /> summarized on TABLE XII <br />' February 14, 1996 - WJH submitted an addendum to a prior <br /> workplan, (dated November 13 , 1995 , ) proposing the placement of <br /> four (4) soil borings on the property, and converting three (3) <br /> of them to groundwater monitoring wells . A copy of that workplan <br /> is included as EXHIBIT A. <br /> DETAILS OF LATEST WORK: <br /> After approval of the workplan and receiving approval from the <br />' UST Cleanup fund staff, the locations of the soil borings were <br /> marked and Utilities Service Alert was contacted to make sure the <br /> area was cleared of underground cables, pipes, etc Because one <br /> of the locations selected, auger hole "D" (monitoring well #4) <br />' was between the shop building and a fence at the property line, a <br /> rig capable of working in a restricted area was needed. Spectrum <br /> Exploration was contracted to do the work since they had equip- <br /> ment which would fit in that narrow space Refer to PLATE III <br /> for the locations of the soil borings/wells . <br /> On June 23 , 1996, Wm. Hunter, RG from Wm. J Hunter & Associates, <br />' (WJH, ) arrived on location at 0825 hours to make sure the work <br /> areas were cleared. Don Light of Del-Tech Geotechnical Support <br /> Services was loading drums of soil onto a flat bed trailer for <br />' disposal . They contained drill cuttings from prior work which <br /> had been stored on site . The manifests for disposal of those <br /> drums in included as EXHIBIT E <br />' A Spectrum Exploration auger rig and support truck arrived on <br /> location at 0825 hours, driller was Robert Duvall . The rig was <br /> set up on location "C" (monitoring well #5 , ) and drilling began <br />' at 1000 hours The rig was equipped with clean, 5 foot lengths <br /> of 8 1/4" OD hollow stem augers which utilized a conventional 18" <br />' 4 <br />
