El Dorado St. <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> ' Project No 723 2 <br /> November 30, 2001 <br /> ' 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> In an August 1, 2000 correspondence to Mr Stephen Valentine, the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Section/Environmental Health Division (SJC PHS/EHD) directed that a work <br /> plan be submitted for the above site by August 25, 2000 The purpose of the required work <br /> plan was to define the vertical extent of the groundwater plume in the former dispenser <br /> location <br /> ' Geological Technics Inc (GTI) developed and submitted a work plan to meet this <br /> requirement dated August 23, 2000 — "Vertical Definition Work Plan" The purpose of the <br /> ' investigation was to further define the vertical extent of groundwater impacts and site <br /> lithology To accomplish this goal, GTI proposed to install a single borehole/well, MW- <br /> 201, to a targeted depth of 150 feet below grade surface The SJC PHS/EHD approved the <br /> proposed work plan in a letter dated June 14, 2001 <br /> This report summarizes the additional soil and groundwater investigative work conducted <br /> on October 22 — 25, 2001 A single soil boring was drilled at the site and converted into a <br /> ' discretely screened deep groundwater monitoring well A soil sample collected from the <br /> boring by use of the SimulProbe`K'Tool tested positive for BTEX and TPH-G compounds at <br /> a depth of 127 feet Pore water sampling was attempted with the SimulProbe Tool, but the <br /> effort was not successful due to clay smearing on the tool <br /> ' Development and sampling of the new well, MW-201, is scheduled in December 2001 <br /> Data generated from this event will be included in the forthcoming "4`j' Quarter 2001 <br /> ' Groundwater Monitoring Report" to be submitted in February 2002 <br /> 1 <br />
