CGeologccal TechNks!nc Page 5 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Project No 723 2 <br /> Apri124, 2006 <br /> 1 <br /> The dedicated Waters pump was used to collect each monitoring well sample Care was <br /> exercised whale transferring the sample into 40-mi VOA vials preserved with hydrochloric <br /> acid All samples were checked for headspace bubbles, labeled, inserted into foam holders <br /> tand placed into an ice chest cooled to 4°C for transport to the laboratory <br /> The sampling technician wore disposable gloves while collecting all samples <br /> ' A chain of custody document, listing all samples collected and their intended analyses, <br /> accompanied the samples from the field to the laboratory, thereby providing a means to track <br /> ' the movement of the samples and ensure their integrity <br /> 1.3 Laboratory Analyses <br /> The groundwater samples collected on .January 17, 2006, were delivered to Entech Analytical <br /> Labs of Santa Clara, California (certification #2346) for analyses of <br /> ❑ Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene, and Xylene (BTEX) by EPA method 8260B <br /> u Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA method 8260B <br /> ❑ MTBE, 131PE, ETBE,TAME, TBA, 1,2 DCA, EDB by EPA method 8260B <br /> The detection limits for the above analyses are listed in Table 5 of Appendix A, while the lab <br /> analytical results are presented in Appendix B <br /> ' As required under AB2886, groundwater elevation and laboratory data were submitted <br /> 9 <br /> electronically to GeoTracker on April 20, 2006 - confirmation numbers 5044543206 & <br /> ' 5788758039, respectively <br /> ' 2.0 FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION <br /> ' Groundwater samples were obtained from the existing wells and from the top three screened <br /> intervals in each of the CMTIm wells <br /> ' The results of the groundwater sample analyses indicate the following <br /> I Well MW-201 did not contain petroleum hydrocarbon contanunants above the laboratory <br /> ' reporting limits <br /> 2 TPH-G <br /> ' • The shallow wells contained TPH-G concentrations ranging 61 -- 18,000 ug/1 <br /> • o The highest level of TPH-G (18,000 ug/1) was detected in well MW-6 that is <br /> located cross gradient of the former dispenser island <br />
