(AGE) has prepared <br /> this work plan for excavation of debris and petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil at the proposed <br /> El Dorado Apartments Development project located on South El Dorado Street,APNs 167-070-02 <br /> and-03,in Stockton,California.The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1.A plan of the site <br /> is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> INTRODUCTIONBACKGROUND <br /> The subject property is located in the south-central portion of the City of Stockton, San Joaquin <br /> County, north of the intersection of South El Dorado Street and California Street. Land use of the <br /> surrounding properties is recreational(McKinley Park),residential and commercial.The subject site <br /> is the former location of a glass production facility,originally decommissioned sometime during the <br /> early 1970s. <br /> Previous site assessments on the property include: <br /> • February 2002 - A geotechnical investigation was conducted at the site by Raney <br /> Geotechnical Inc(RGI).During the course of the investigation, soil samples collected from <br /> two borings (B4 and B5)were noted as having a"gasoline odor". <br /> • May 2002 -Five soil borings (B-1 through B-5)were advanced at the site by Construction <br /> Testing & Engineering, Inc. (CTE) to determine the nature and extent of soil possibly <br /> impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons. Soil samples collected from three of the five soil <br /> borings (B-1, B-2 and B-5) contained concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> quantified as gasoline (TPH-g), diesel (TPH-d) and/or motor oil (TPH-mo).
