, N001 - - • Closure Summary Report Proposed EL DORADO APARTMENTS t2424 and 2450 South El Dorado Street, Stockton,California 1.0. INTRODUCTION At the request of Mr Dennis Kim,property owner,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this Closure Summary Report (CSR) summarizing all field activities conducted at 2450 South El Dorado Street, Stockton,California(the site) Based upon the results of investigations of the former underground storage tank areas at the site, it is AGE'S opinion that a site closure is warranted for this facility The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1,the former underground storage tank(UST)location and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 This CSR has been prepared in accordance with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines (Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations For Preliminary ' Investigations and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites) for No Further Action Requests (See Appendix A) 2.0. BACKGROUND lie The subject property is located north of the intersection of South El Dorado Street and California Street, in the south-central portion of the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County Land use of the surrounding properties is recreational(McKinley Park),residential and commercial The subject site is the former location of a glass production facility which was decommissioned sometime during the early 1970's ' 2 1 REGIONAL GEOLOGIC SETTING ' The property is situated within the Great Valley,Geomorphic Province of California, a large, elongate, northwest trending, asymmetric structural trough The Great Valley Province has been ' filled with thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to Recent,creating a nearly flat- lying alluvial plain,extending from the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to the Klamath Mountains in the north The western and eastern boundaries of this province are comprised of the California ' Coast Range and the Sierra Nevada,respectively Rocks composing the basement complex of the province have not been completely defined but are believed to be metamorphic and igneous in origin The northern and southern portions of the Great Valley Province have been designated the ' Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, respectively Based on the General Soil Map from the San Joaquin County Soil Survey,published by the United ' States Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service in 1992, the site area is within the Jackson-Hallenbeck-Stockton (JHS) association The JHS soils are located within basins, and generally consist of moderate to poorly drained fine textured soils The soils are generally derived ' Advanced GeoEnveronmentai,Inc
