Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Subject: Monitoring Well Destruction Work Plan <br /> Proposed EL DORADO APARTMENTS <br /> 2450 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll: <br /> At the request of Mr. Dennis Kim,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has prepared this work <br /> plan for the destruction of three ground water monitoring wells(MW-1, MW-2.and MW-3)at 2450 <br /> South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California (the site), <br /> INTRODUCTIONBACKGROUND <br /> Three two-inch diameter ground water monitoring wells (MW1 through MW3) located at the site <br /> were part of a subsurface investigation of the former underground storage tank (UST) area. <br /> Monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 were installed to maximum depths of 45 feet below surface <br /> grade (bsg) with 0.020-inch slotted screen installed from approximately 20 to 45. The monitoring <br /> wells were installed using 8-inch diameter hollow stem augers. <br /> The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A site plan is illustrated in Figure 2. In accordance <br /> with the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)requirements,all wells must <br /> be properly destroyed to obtain final site closure. The well locations are illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> PROCEDURES <br /> AGE proposes to destroy wells MW-1.MW-2 and MW-3. The wells will be sounded for total depth <br /> and checked for integrity, any obstruction found in the well will be removed. The wells will be <br /> destroyed by pressure grouting each well with neat cement. The grout mixture will consist of Type <br /> 1 0 4().--1 1 1 ti <br />
