I
I10 September 2004
`. AGE-NC Project No 04-1129
' 4.0. GROUNDWATER MONITORING EVENTS:FEBRUARY 2003 TO JANUARY 2004
Ground water monitoring had been performed on wells MW-1 through MW-3 on a quarterly basis
between February 2003 and January 2004 During that time, depths to ground water from wells
MW-1 through MW-3 were measured between 33 48 and 36 68 feet below the top of well casings
btoc Ground water flow direction at the site was generally toward the southeast with an average
' gradient of approximately 0 01 foot/foot (Figure 7) Ground water elevation data is summarized in
Table 3
' During the four ground water sampling events, analytes of concern were not detected at or above
laboratory reporting limits in samples collected from wells MW-1 through MW-3 Analytical results
of ground water samples are summarized in Table 2
1
5.0. WATER WELL RECEPTOR SURVEY
' A sensitive receptor is currently being completed for the site However, analytes of concern
eP survey
were not detected in ground water samples collected from the monitoring well network during the
' ground water investigation Therefore, AGE concludes that petroleum hydrocarbons remaining
beneath the site, if any, appear to pose minimal risk to human health and beneficial use of ground
' water down-gradient from the subject site
The nearest surface water feature in the vicinity of the property 1s the Old River, approximately 2 5
' miles west of the property
' 6.0. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on data collected during site assessment and groundwater monitoring events,AGE concludes
1 Depths to ground water from wells MW-1 through MW-3 were measured at between 33 48
and 36 68 feet btoc Ground water flow direction at the site was generally toward the
' southeast with an average gradient of approximately 0 01 foot/foot(Figure 7) Ground water
elevation data are summarized on Table 3
' • Relatively low concentrations of TPH-g and BTEX constituents were detected in a grab
ground water sample collected from boring PB-2, located near the former UST area
However, analytes of concern were not detected in ground water samples collected from
' monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 during the monitoring and sampling period
1 Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
1
