INTRODUCTION <br /> 1 <br /> At the request of Mr Dennis Kim, property owner, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br />' prepared this Closure Summary Report (CSR) summarizing all field activities conducted at 2450 <br /> South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California(the site) Based upon the results of investigations of <br /> the former underground storage tank areas at the site, it is AGE'S opinion that a site closure is <br />' warranted for this facility The site setting Is Illustrated on Figure 1,the former underground storage <br /> tank (UST) location and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br />' This CSR has been prepared in accordance with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines (Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations For Preliminary <br />' Investigations and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sates) for No Further Action Requests (See <br /> Appendix A) <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> lie The subject property is located north of the Intersection of South El Dorado Street and California <br /> Street, in the south-central portion of the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County Land use of the <br /> surrounding properties is recreational(McKinley Park),residential and commercial The subs ect site <br />' is the former location of a glass production facility which was decommissioned sometime during the <br /> early 1970's <br />' 2 1 REGIONAL GEOLOGIC SETTING <br />' The property is situated within the Great Valley, Geomorphic Province of California, a large, <br /> elongate, northwest trending, asymmetric structural trough The Great Valley Province has been <br />' filled with thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to Recent,creating a nearly flat- <br /> lying alluvial plain,extending from the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to the Klamath Mountains <br /> in the north The western and eastern boundaries of this province are comprised of the California <br />' Coast Range and the Sierra Nevada, respectively Rocks composing the basement complex of the <br /> province have not been completely defined but are believed to be metamorphic and igneous in origin <br /> The northern and southern portions of the Great Valley Province have been designated the <br />' Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, respectively <br /> Based on the General Soil Map from the San Joaquin County Sod Survey, published by the United <br />' States Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service in 1992, the site area is within the <br /> . Jackson-Hallenbeck-Stockton (JHS) association The JHS soils are located within basins, and <br /> generally consist of moderate to poorly drained fine textured soils The soils are generally derived <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
