f
1 = GEO-PHASE
ENVIRONMENTAL
n
Site Conceptual Model & Clo'sure Report
' Bulk Transportation
3032 S. El Dorado Street
Stockton, California
_ Project No. 606.3
August 28, 2009
1.0 INTRODUCTION
A former 12,000-gallon diesel UST was operated on the site from 1988 until it
was removed in 2002. Confirmation soil samples)collected from the tank pit
indicated that a leak had occurred that impacted the.surrounding soil with
diesel fuel. In 2003, the pit was over-excavated and the diesel-impacted soil
was removed and stockpiled on the site. Confirmation, soil samples indicated
that the excavation succeeded in removing all of the impacted soil. The over-
excavated pit was subsequently backfilled with clean material.
This Site Conceptual Model (SCM) is used to develop hypotheses regarding the
` location and movement of contaminants through various environmental media
a such as soil, and groundwater. Descriptive evaluations identify potential
impacts by contaminants to the environment, beneficial.!uses of resources, and
human health. The SCM includes descriptions';of the sites physical and,
k
j t geologic, and hydrologic settings, the source, Mature, and extent of the
contamination, and hypotheses regarding the fate and transport of the
l contaminants.
L Based on the conclusions drawn in Section 6.1 below, we recommend that this
site be deemed adequately mitigated and that it be'officially closed.
2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
