casing, drilled to a depth of 150 feet.
3436 South Odell put in a domestic well on 3 -4-53 . The well is constructed of 6-inch well
casing, drilled to a depth of 100 feet with a casing to 77 feet.
3506 Harvey put in a domestic well on 5 -5 -52. The well is constructed of 6-inch well casing,
drilled to a depth of 120 feet with a casing to 70 feet.
646 South California Street put in a domestic well on 1 - 13 -88 . The well is constructed of 6-inch
well casing, drilled to a depth of 115 feet with a bentonite seal to 50 feet.
3607 Harvey put in a domestic well. The well is constructed of 6-inch well casing, drilled to a
depth of 100 feet with a casing to 71 feet .
All the drinking wells are located upstream from Cal Tk based on the groundwater flow direction
reported by S-P, and are thus not likely to be affected by any contamination found at 3105 South
El Dorado Street. A well survey map locating the positions of all wells within a 2000 foot radius
of the site is located in Appendix A, Figure 4 .
6. 0 RECOMMENDATIONS
In addition to the recommendations provided in the Work Plan dated 1 May 2000, the following
is recommended :
1 . In addition to soil borings (B-6 and B -7), a third boring (MW4) will be advanced. This
boring will be converted to a groundwater monitoring well . This well will be located
downgradient from MW-2 to detect possible contamination of groundwater from the
former used oil USTs. The proposed location for MW-4 is shown on Figure 6. Overhead
electrical lines along South El Dorado Street, and possible underground utilities along the
street, will influence the exact location of this well. This will be determined by the
Department of Health field representative, the geologist, EI and/or Cal Tk representative
and the driller prior to the actual drilling.
2. All soil samples will be analyzed for TPHg, TPHo, TPHd, BTEX and MTBE/oxygenates.
3 . Floating oil will be removed from MW-2 at frequent intervals (every 2 to 4 weeks) until
it no longer accumulates in this well. The removed oil will be disposed with other waste
Environeering, Inc. Project No, 00-005.05 Page 5
