SITE CODE: 001095
3105 South El Dorado Street
Stockton, California 95206
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed historical
data for this site as well as quarterly groundwater monitoring reports prepared and
submitted by Environeering, Inc. (EI) on your behalf. Benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene,
total xylenes, and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) have consistently been detected above
the California primary maximum contaminant levels for drinking water of 1.0
micrograms per liter (µg/L), 150 µg/L, 300 µg/L, 1750 µg/L, and 0.5 µg/L, respectively,
in monitoring well MW-4 since groundwater monitoring commenced in November 2000.
Further investigation to assess the vertical and lateral extent of impacted soil and
groundwater is needed at this site. Please submit a work plan to EHD by August 1, 2006,
to conduct the necessary additional site characterization.
EHD is not being notified of scheduled quarterly groundwater sampling events. You
must inform EHD at least twenty-four hours prior to a quarterly monitoring event so
EHD staff can be present. Also, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE), the
consulting firm for the site at 3105 South El Dorado Street in Stockton, would like to
coordinate sampling on the same day that EI is at 3105 South El Dorado Street for the
groundwater monitoring events. Please advise EHD if you are willing to coordinate
future sampling events.
Laboratory analytical results and quarterly groundwater data are not being electronically
submitted to GeoTracker — the State Water Resources Control Board database system.
Failure to submit this requested data constitutes a violation of California Code of
Regulations, Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 30, Sections 3890 - 3895. Electronic
transmission of laboratory analytical results to GeoTracker must be initiated
immediately.
