All personnel working on the <br /> project will wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, <br /> hard hats, traffic vests and steel-toed boots as required by the SSO. First aid will be <br /> available on-site to take care of any minor injuries . Appropriate emergency services shall <br /> be contacted to deal with the emergency situations more serious than cuts or scrapes. <br /> 5. 0 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> Based on evaluation of potential hazards, hazard levels have been established as Level D, <br /> but the project manager should be prepared to upgrade protection to Level C if warranted <br /> by field conditions. <br /> "EPA Standard Operating Safety Guidelines" defines the levels of protective clothing as <br /> follows: <br /> • LEVEL A: Fully encapsulating suit / SCBA / Hard hat / Steel-toed boots / Safety <br /> gloves <br /> • LEVEL B : Splash resistant suit / SCBA / Hard hat / Steel-toed boots / Safety <br /> gloves <br /> • LEVEL C : Half face respirator / SCBA / Safety glasses / Hard hat / Steel-toed <br /> boots / Coveralls / Safety gloves <br /> • LEVEL D: Safety glasses / Hard hat / Steel-toed boots / Coveralls / Safety gloves <br /> Environeering, Inc.
