This case does not meet all of the required criteria of the Policy. Highlights of the
case follow:
This Site is commercial trucking facility which includes an office building, two maintenance
facilities, tank trailer storage and a commercial petroleum fueling station. An unauthorized release
was reported in September 1990 following the removal of two waste oil USTs. Two additional
diesel USTs were removed in 1998. Free product persists in MW-2 since 2000. No active
remediation has been conducted onsite. Since 1999, five groundwater monitoring wells have been
installed and regularly monitored. According to groundwater data, water quality objectives have not
been achieved.
The petroleum release is limited to the soil and shallow groundwater. According to data available
in GeoTracker, there are no public water supply wells or surface water bodies within 1,000 feet of
the Site. No other water supply wells have been identified within 1,000 feet of the Site in files
reviewed. The San Lorenzo Creek lies approximately 600 feet south of the Site. The unauthorized
release is located within the service area of a public water system, as defined in the Policy.
FELICIA MARCUS,CHAIR ( THOMAS HOWARD,EXECUTIVE D RECTOR
1001 1 Street,Sacramento,CA 85814 1 Meiling Addraas:P.O.Box 100,Sacramento,Ca 85812-0100 www waterboarda.ca goV
40 PECVCLE1 PAPER
