While some of the oil will volatilize upon loading <br /> onto the tube, the heavier components will "gunk" (technical term) up the tube and the calibration loading station. <br /> Regardless of this limitation in calibration, we can evaluate hydrocarbon ranges up to about C26 though <br /> desorption efficiency decreases past about C22. We could provide a TPH referenced to diesel and provide a <br /> diesel range as well as a >C19 range reference to diesel. <br /> Hope this helps. Is there an air method for analyzing soil gas samples for motor oil? <br /> I recently directed a party to analyze soil gas samples for motor oil. The consulting firm for the party has indicated <br /> that it can not find a method for analyzing motor oil in soil gas.
