REPORT OF INVESTIGATION <br /> REPORTED RELEASE OF FUEL HYDROCARBONS <br /> FROM FORMER UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS <br /> 3105 SOUTH EL DORADO STREET, STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br />' SIERRA-PACIFIC PROJECT NO. 96-620.01 <br /> 1.0 INTRODU TION <br /> In August, 1990,two underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from a location on the west side <br /> of the main office building at a commercial trucking facility operated by California Tank Lines, Inc <br /> (CTL), at 3105 South El Dorado Street in the southern part of the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County, <br /> California (Figures 1, 2, and 3) It is Sierra-Pacific Groundwater Consultants, Inc 's (Sierra-Pacific) <br /> understanding that the former USTs previously had both contained waste oil Soil samples were <br />' reportedly collected by the UST removal contractor (Western Meter of Stockton, California) from the <br /> bottom of the UST excavation at the time the tanks were removed,which were analyzed and found to <br /> contain hydrocarbon contaminants (see Appendix B) <br /> In a letter, dated July 16, 1996, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br />' Department (the County), requested that steps be taken to define the extent of hydrocarbon fuels <br /> reportedly released from the two underground storage tanks at the site <br /> In response to the County request, Sierra-Pacific was contracted by CTL A workplan dated August 30, <br /> 1996 was prepared by Sierra-Pacific to describe the proposed scope of this investigation This workplan <br /> was reviewed and approved by the County, and by the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central <br /> ' Valley Region(RWQCB) This report presents the findings of that investigation <br /> Sierra-Pacific Groundwater Consultants, Inc 1 <br />
