EHD considers these parameters important indicators that the groundwater
has stabilized and directs you to include these measurements in all reported future sampling
events at this site. EHD has provided Environeering, Inc. (EI) with San Joaquin County
_ Environmental Health Department Recommended Groundwater Sampling Guideline. In addition
tothese recommendations, please provide EHD the composition of the solution used for
decontamination. All 55-gallon drums on site should be labeled and groundwater samples should
er with temperature of approximately four degrees centigrade
be placed immediately in a cool
when analysis for volatile compounds is planned.
At the request of Dawn Sorenson, EHD notes the following items that should be part of future
quarterly groundwater monitoring reports:
I. Include a copy of the original field sheets in the quarterly reports. Reproductions of the
data,can be included,but should not be used in place of the field sheets.
2. Laboratory sample identifications should list monitoring well designations,i.e.,MW-1,
tions: fence diesel
e laboratory
identifications: street,MW-2, MW-3, and MW-4, instead of th rY
USTs, and oil USTs.
3. Laboratory reports should include the following for every analysis: method blank results;
surrogate recoveries (including diesel and motor oil surrogate recoveries); recoveries for
laboratory control samples (LCS), and matrix spikes(MS) if analyzed using site samples;
and quality control limits for the surrogates,LCS,MS,and relative percent differences.
4. San Joaquin County Public Health Services has been changed to San Joaquin County
EEnvironmental Health Department. Please correct this in future reports.
5. Please include the units such as micrograms per liter (itg/L) or milligrams per liter
3 (mg/L) in Table 2 instead of listing the units in the Notes section. It is best to report
method 8260B analytical results in µg/l, because these are the units that the laboratory
reports and these are the units commonly used industry-wide for these compounds. Also
p (example <100 is
1.7
k
Table 2 datum is more informative if less than the reporting limit (exa p )
