Pacific Pride South EI Dorado -3- September 16 , 2010
Claim No . 14407
I
Site Description
The Site is located in a commercial area in Stockton, California, bounded by the 1-5 freeway on
the west and a railroad switching yard on the east. The Site is comprised of a parking area and
several buildings and formerly a truck fueling area.
Site History/Assessments
The Site is currently used for parking vehicles . In September 1998, fuel hydrocarbons were
detected in soil during the removal of USTs. To date, twenty six monitoring wells have been
installed and have been monitored regularly. A Site map showing the location of the current
USTs, monitoring wells and groundwater level contours is provided at the end of this summary.
Remediation Summary
Free Product: Free product was documented in MW-2 . Approximately 20 gallons of free
product has been removed since January 2000.
• Soil Excavation : An unknown volume of impacted soil was removed and disposed
offsite in 1998.
• In-Situ Soil Remediation : No soil remediation has been conducted.
• Groundwater Remediation : No groundwater remediation has been conducted.
General Site Conditions
Geology and Hydrogeology: The Site is underlain by sandy silt and clayey silt. The
depth to groundwater varies seasonally between 25 to 37 feet bgs and the groundwater
gradient is east northeast at approximately 0 . 001 . The closest surface water is domestic
well located approximately 500 feet south of the Site.
Estimate of Hydrocarbon Mass in Soil : Prior to remediation , AGE calculated that
approximately 20, 043 pounds of petroleum hydrocarbons remain in site soils.
• Groundwater Trends: There are more than 11 years of groundwater monitoring data for
this Site. The following graphs show benzene concentration trends from the source
area , near down gradient and far down gradient, respectively (MW1 , MW-7 and
MW10A).
BENZENE Results for MW1
_ 1 °O
s 1
_ 1000'
j .. ._ -.
Boo
600 - --
BENZEM
California Environmental Protection Agency
% Recycled paper
