1 <br /> Site Summary <br /> Pacific Pride - South El Dorado <br /> 3147 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, Cahfornia <br /> ' 10 BACKGROUND <br /> The site is presently vacant However,the site was previously operated asa card-lock fueling station <br /> One 10,000-gallon diesel UST,two 10,000-gallon gasoline USTs,dispensers and one structure were <br /> formerly located on the property <br /> 20 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> ' The site is Iocated at 3147 South El Dorado Street,approximately 200 feet south of the intersection <br /> of El Dorado Street and Ivy Avenue The site is located in a topographically flat area at an elevation <br /> ' between 10 and 15 feet above mean sea level in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is in the <br /> northeast quarter of Section 11,Township 1 North,Range 6 East,Mount Diablo Base and Meridian <br /> (Stockton West Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1968, photo revised 1987) <br /> 1 <br /> 3 0 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> ' On 04 September 1998, one 10,000-gallon diesel UST and two 10,000-gallon gasoline USTs and <br /> associated fuel dispensers and product piping were removed from the site Laboratory analysis of soil <br /> ' samples collected beneath the former UST areas detected total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified <br /> as gasoline, diesel and kerosene (TPH-g, TPH-d and TPH-K, respectively) at concentrations up to <br /> ' 9,000 mg/kg (milligrams per kilogram) Volatile aromatic compounds benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene and xylenes(BTEX)were detected at concentrations up to 520 mg/kg,methyl tertiary <br /> butyl ether(MTBE)was detected in two stockpiled soil samples at concentrations up to 0 012 mg/kg <br /> 4 0 PREVIOUS SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> ' The following is a summary of previous investigations at the site of the unauthorized release of fuel <br /> products to the subsurface <br /> • June 1999-Four soil borings(P-1 through P-4)were advanced near the former UST area at <br /> the site to assess the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum-impacted soil and ground water <br /> 1 Laboratory analysis of soil samples detected TPH-g and TPH-d between 20 and 40 feet from <br /> probe boring P-1 at concentrations ranging as high as 330 mg/kg, TPH-g and TPH-d were <br /> detected in grab water samples collected from P-1,P-2 and P-4 at concentrations ranging as <br /> ' high as 350,000 micrograms per liter(µg/l) BTEX compounds were detected in the same <br /> P-1 soil samples and from P-4 at 35 feet at concentrations ranging as high as 9 5 mg/kg, <br /> BTEX compounds were detected in grab water samples collected from P-1 though P-4 at <br /> i <br /> f 1 <br />
