' 24 March 2004
AGE-NC Project No 97-0301
' 2 6 WELL ELEVATION SURVEY
On 26 September 2003, a state of California state-licensed survey engineer from Mid Coast
' Engineers(MCE) surveyed a reference point on the top of the well casing of wells MW-8 through
MW-12 to the nearest 0 01-foot relative to known City of Stockton Bench Mark No 259
Additionally, MCE utilized GPS techniques to Identify latitude and longitude for tracking wells
MW-8 through MW-12 on the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) GeoTracker
database system The results of the monitoring well survey are contained in Table 1 The surveying
report (MCE Job No 03224) is presented in Appendix D
3.0. FINDINGS
' Soil descriptions from MW-8, MW-9, MW-10 and MW-12, supplemented with soil data from
previous site investigations, were utilized to construct geologic/hydrostratigraphic cross sections
' D-D'and F-F'
' . 31 SOIL DISTRIBUTION
Based on observations of soil data collected from MW-8, MW-9, MW-10 and MW-12
(Appendix B),very stiff to hard, fine-grained, sandy, clayey SILT was generally observed between
surface grade and 35 feet bsg, 50 and 60 feet, 80 and 90 feet and 100 and 110 feet bsg, dense to very
dense, poorly graded, fine to medium SAND/silty SAND was generally observed at depths between
35 and 50 feet bsg, 60 and 80 feet bsg, 90 and 100 feet bsg and'110 and 125 feet bsg
' The boring logs are Included in Appendix B Soil data collected from wells MW-8 through MW-12
are depicted on cross sections D-D'and F-F'(Figures 3 and 4, respectively)
32 FIELD EVIDENCE OF HYDROCARBON-IMPACTED SOIL
' Petroleum hydrocarbon odors were noted in soil samples collected from MW-8 at depths between
10 and 55 feet bsg, PID field measurements were noted at depths between 10 and 40 feet bsg at
concentrations as high as 78 parts per million(ppm)
Petroleum hydrocarbon odors were noted in soil samples collected from MW-12 at depths between
40 and 55 feet bsg, PID field measurements were noted at depths between 90 and 100 feet bsg at
' concentrations as high as 1 ppm Hydrocarbon odor observations are recorded on the boring logs
contained in Appendix B
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
I
