02 May 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 97-0301 <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br /> • Methanol, ethanol, ethylene dibromide (EDB), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), tertiary <br /> butanol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tert butyl ether (ETBE), tcrt amyl methyl <br /> ether (TAME), and confirmation of MTBE by EPA Method 8260 Modified <br /> Laboratory reports for ground water analysis, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality <br /> control (QA/QC)reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report <br /> with findings and recommendations <br /> Additional ground monitoring wells will be proposed based on the results of the CPT drilling and <br /> grab ground water sample analysis <br /> 33 REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Following CPT boring advancement and analysis of grab ground water samples, a report of findings <br /> will be prepared The report will Include a description of work performed and the results of the soil <br /> and groundwater sampling and analysis Conclusions and recommendations will also be included <br /> in the reports, if applicable The report will be in a format acceptable to the PHS-EHD and the <br /> RWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist <br /> 40 FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> ,Registered Geologist Procedures for CPT boring advancement, grab ground water sampling, <br /> equipment decontamination and sample shipment are outlined below <br /> 41 CPT DRILLING AND GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> Based on the sandy content of soil samples collected at the site at depths down to 50 feet bsg and <br /> petroleum-impacted ground water in monitoring well samples from as deep as 80 to 90 feet bsg,CPT <br /> soil borings will be advanced to target depths of approximately 125 feet bsg utilizing a 25-ton truck- <br /> mounted CPT drill rig equipped with 2-inch diameter hollow-stem rods The first soil boring will <br /> utilize a hydraulic ram to advance a cone penetrometer to the desired depth Soil parameters such <br /> as cone bearing, sleeve friction, friction ration and pore water pressure will be measured as the cone <br /> penetrometer is advanced <br /> A second soil boring will be located adjacent the first CPT boring for ground water sample <br /> collection Based on CPT findings, discrete grab ground water samples will be collected in selected <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
