Cone Penetrometer Testing Site Investigation - Third Quarter 2001
 16PACIFIC PRIDE - SOUTH ELDORADO
1 3147 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, Califorma
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK
At the request of Mr David Atwater of Van De Pol Enterprises,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc
' (AGE) has prepared this report of findings for 3147 South El Dorado Street (the site), Stockton,
California The report documents procedures and results for cone penetrometer testing (CPT)
conducted at the site dunng July 2001 (third quarter 200 1) The site setting is illustrated on Figure
' 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2
' The objective of this third quarter 2001 Investigation was to characterize and assess the vertical and
horizontal extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and to characterize the geological and hydro-
geological framework underlying the site This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines
' established by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) - Central Valley
Region for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites A summary of previous
investigations at the site was included in Work Plan Addendum -April 2001, dated 02 May 2001,
prepared by AGE
The following Is a chronology of the CPT investigation
• 18 July 2001 - Advancement of CPT soil boring P-10 to a depth of 125 feet below surface
grade, collect grab water samples at selected depths
' • 19 July 2001 - Advancement of CPT soil borings P-7 and P-8 to a depth of 125 feet bsg,
collect grab water samples from P-7 at selected depths
' • 20 July 2001 - Advancement of CPT soil boring P-9 to a depth of 125 feet bsg, collect grab
water samples at selected depths from P-8 and P-9
1 • 23 July 2001 - Advancement of CPT soil borings P-5 and P-6 to a depth of 125 feet bsg,
collect grab water samples at selected depths from P-5
• 24 July 2001 - collect grab water samples at selected depths from P-6
All grab groundwater samples were collected from an adjacent boring bearing the same designation
' as the initial CPT boring
' 2.0. CPT SOIL BORINGS
On 18, 19, 20, 23 and 24 July 2001, six soil borings (P-5, P-6, P-7, P-8, P-9 and P-10) were
advanced on- and off-site utilizing CPT technology to characterize the geological and hydro-
geological framework and to identify potential contaminant-migration pathways beneath the site
Advanced GeoEnvironmentai,Inc
