Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report PACIFIC PRIDE ' 3147 South El Dorado Street, Stockton,California ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION In accordance with the request of Mr David Atwater of Van De Pol Enterprises, Inc ,Advanced ' GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report (PIER)for 3147 South El Dorado Street(the site), Stockton,California The scope of work included the advancement of four soil probe bonngs and the collection and analysis of soil and ground water samples The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated on Figure 1, major features on the site and soil probe boring locations are illustrated on Figure 2 This investigation was performed in accordance with the guidelines of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley ' Regional Water Quality Control Board for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) saes ' 2.0. BACKGROUND In September 1998, three USTs and associated fuel dispensers and product piping were removed from the site Based on field observations and analytical results of soil samples collected during the tank removals,the PHS-EHD directed by letter that a subsurface investigation be performed at the site to delineate the vertical and horizontal extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impact In accordance with PHS-EHD directives, procedures for a subsurface investigation were outlined in the Site Investigation Work Plan, dated 19 January 1999 and approved by the PHS-EHD by letter on I I February 1999 21 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION The site is located at 3147 South El Dorado Street,approximately 200 feet south of the intersection of El Dorado Street and Ivy Avenue The site is located in a topographically flat area at an elevation between 10 and 15 feet above mean sea level in Stockton, California(Figure 1) The site is in the northeast quarter of Section 11, Township 1 North,Range 6 East,Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Stockton West Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1968, photo revised 1987) The site is presently vacant However,the site was previously operated as a card-lock fueling station One 10,000-gallon diesel UST,two 10,000-gallon gasoline USTs,dispensers and one structure were formerly located on the property • Advanced GeoEnwonmenlal,Inc
