No unauthorized person <br /> should be within this exclusion area <br /> 4 0 HAZARD EVALUATION <br /> The following substance(s) or hazards are known or suspected to be on site <br /> SUBSTANCES INVOLVED: CONCENTRATIONS: <br /> Gasoline 8,900 milligrams per kilogram <br /> Diesel 9,000 milligrams per kilogram <br /> Benzene 0 11 milligrams per kilogram <br /> Toluene 130 milligrams per kilogram <br /> Ethylbenzene 110 milligrams per kilogram <br /> Xylenes 520 milligrams per kilogram <br /> Methyl tertiary Butyl Ether 0 012 milligrams per kilogram <br /> The primary hazards of each are Identified as follows <br /> 1 Hydrocarbon fuels - Components of fuels are colorless liquids with strong aromatic <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-like odors They are flammable and have low solubility in water <br /> Exposure to these materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can cause mild eye, <br /> nose, and throat irritation and can produce a narcotic effect on the central nervous system <br /> Symptoms of exposure at these concentrations Include headache, nausea, drowsiness, <br /> dizziness,and loss of coordination Certain components of gasoline(BTE&X etc)are known <br /> or suspected carcinogens <br /> The following additional hazards are expected on site typical work related to facility Noise, falling <br /> rods-flying hammer, snapped cables etc on the backhoe/excavator (if applicable) <br /> Adtanced GeoEn.ironmentaf,Inc <br />
