The test results showed that low
levels volatile organic compounds (BTEX) are still detectable in two of the wells (MW-1
&'MW-4). This is consistent with past monitoring events. VOCs and gasoline range
hydrocarbons were also detected in the domestic water well located on the adjacent
Cutter Lumber facility. In addition, oil range petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in
1 well MW-5. The monitoring wells were surveyed by a licensed surveyor to assure
accurate determination of groundwater gradient and bearing. The groundwater
gradient and bearing are similar to that reported in the June 22, 1995 event.
' 1.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING-
1.1
ONITORING1.1 Hydrology of Site
On November 29, " 1995, the average depth to groundwater was measured to be
approximately 37 feet below surface (or 23.28 feet below MSL). Groundwater has
decreased an average of 3.1 feet since the previous monitoring event of June 22, 1995. .
The groundwater gradient was 0.0015 ft/ft, flowing North 40° East (Figure 2).
