El Dorado, Stockton, CA.
Dear Mr. Knoll:
On behalf of the Bank of Stockton, Geological Technics Inc. is pleased to submit
this work plan for a quarterly monitoring event at the above facility in Stockton,
California, along with a survey of the monitoring wells. It is proposed that this
plan serve as a generalized work plan for all future groundwater monitoring
events Conducted by Geological Technics at the Western Lift site.
A Work Plan for a vapor extraction feasibility study has been previously
submitted for approval. Included in the scope of work of that proposal is the
installation of two vapor extraction wells (VEW) that can also be used for
monitoring. It is anticipated that at the time of the first monitoring event in
1996, all five of the existing will be purged and sampled as will the two VEW
wells which are anticipated to be in place at that time.
PROPOSED WORK PLAN
Scope
All five existing monitoring wells will be checked for depth to groundwater, and
three of these (MW-1, MW-4 & MW-5) will be purged and sampled, and the
samples will be subjected to laboratory analysis. The domestic water well at the
adjacent Cutter Lumber site will also be sampled. All of the water samples will
be sent to Sherwood Laboratory, Hilmar, California, for analysis. The five
monitoring wells are also to be surveyed by a licensed surveyor. A summary
report with groundwater gradient calculations and analytic results will made,
and submitted to the Bank of Stockton and the appropriate regulatory agencies
within 30 days of the monitoring event. A schedule is given below.
