QUARTERLY REPORT Western Lift 3430 South El Dorado Street Stockton, California August 1994 1.0 INTRODUCTION ' tia of the Bank of Stockton Geological In accordance with a request from Mr. John Urru Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudit) has prepared this Quarterly Report of drilling and sampling iprocedures at 3430 South El Dorado Street in Stockton, California (the site). The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2. 2.0 BACKGROUND 2.1 Site Location The site is located in a flat industrial area south of Stockton (Figure 1). The facility consists j of a large warehouse and adjoining office and exterior-fenced parking/delivery area (see Figure 2). Cutter Lumber is located to the north of the site, and currently manufactures ' wooden pallets. 2.2 UST Removal ' Three underground tanks were removed from the delivery area in June of 1991. TPH as gasoline was detected in three of the seven soil samples collected from the excavation, indicating that an unauthorized release of hydrocarbons had occurred. The San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) required an assessment of the site. Sample results from the UST removal were summarized in the Site ' Contamination Workplan dated July 24, 1991. 2.3 Excavation The assessment of the site was performed in two phases. Each phase consisted of ' overexcavation followed by the collection and analysis of soil samples from the walls and floor of the excavation.The excavation phases and sampling are described in the Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report (PIER, December 11, 1991, prepared by GeoAudit).
