Geological Audit Services, Inc.
1803 W. O. Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Subjeot: Addendum to Workplan--Western Lilt Project
3430 South 81 Dorado St.
Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Knoll:
On 23 and 24 September 1991, Falcon Energy Associates performed
remediation activities at the referenced site. A larger excavator
was brought in and used to deepen the previous underground storage
tank cavity to 29 ft and enlarge it to approximately 50 ft by 20
ft. The excavated soil was stockpiled with the previously excavated
soil on site near the eastern edge of the property.
Under your direction, Geological Audit Services collected four soil
samples from the excavation. They were analyzed for total petroleum
hydrocarbons, BTEX, and lead contamination. The results were
received in our offices on 16 October and transmitted to you at
that time. Low levels of BTEX contamination were detected in
samples WL-2, WL-3, and WL-4.
On behalf of Falcon Energy, we are submitting this workplan
addendum to do additional excavation to remove the remaining
contamination. We will use the same excavation and sampling
protocol as before. The samples will be analyzed for BTEX compounds
only, since the concentrations of other contaminants were near or
below detection limits.
Representatives of Falcon and GeoAudit will be on site the morning
of Thursday, 31 October to perform the proposed work. Please
contact our office on Wednesday if you have questions or comments
concerning the remediation.
Sincerely
GEOLOI AUDIT SERVICES, INC.
4 OCT 2 9 1991
Victor B.
