' Bank of Stockton - Cutter Lumber Site <br /> Page 4 <br /> Summer Quarter Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Project No 102 2 <br /> September 30, 1998 <br /> Extreme care was exercised while collecting samples to prevent agitation of the <br />' water contained in the bailer Water samples were transferred from the bailee <br /> into 40 ml VOA vials preserved with hydrochloric acid and 1 liter capacity amber <br /> glass bottles (provided by the analytical laboratory) All samples were checked <br /> for head space bubbles, labeled, inserted into foam holders and placed in an ice <br /> chest cooled to 4°C for transport to the laboratory <br />' A total of 3 drums of gasoline contaminated purge & rinseate water were <br /> generated during the activities described above American Valley <br /> Environmental will remove this material during the next scheduled depth to <br />' water measuring event in July <br /> 2.2 Groundwater Sample Analyses <br />' Groundwater samples were analyzed as follows <br />' • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA method 8015(m) <br /> • Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TEPH as Diesel) by <br />'. EPA method 3510/8015(m) <br /> The detection limits are included in the summary analytical data table (Table 1) <br />' The data presented in Table 1 show that the hydrocarbon levels in vicinity of the <br /> southerly (Western Lift) release continue to be barely above detectable limits <br />' The samples collected from the wells in the vicinity of the northerly release <br /> (Cutter Lumber) during this round had levels of gasoline hydrocarbons generally <br /> consistent with the last round <br />' 2.3 Field Data <br />' The field data for this groundwater monitoring event are summarized in <br /> Appendix B and Table 2 The level of groundwater has decreased about five feet <br /> since the groundwater monitoring event completed in June of this year The <br /> bearing of the groundwater flow has remained generally consistent however <br /> Groundwater gradient calculations for MW-6, 10 & 11 yield the following <br /> gradients and directions <br /> 2937 Veneman Ave ,#B240 Geo-Phase E _ <br /> Environmental Inc Phone (209) 5fi9 0293 <br /> Modesto, CA 95356 Fax (209) 569-0293 <br />
