El Dorado Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> 1 <br /> Project No 102 2 <br />' April 24, 1998 <br />'ie 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Based on information obtained during the completion of earlier soil borings at <br />' the subject site (see Report Soil and Groundwater Investigation, Cutter Lumber <br /> Site, dated April 8, 1997) a Work Plan was prepared (see Work Plan <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation, Cutter Lumber-Former Union Oil <br />' Tank Site, December 19, 1997) which described the proposed work to drill and <br /> construct six monitoring wells to investigate conditions in the shallow <br />' groundwater and one deeper well to investigate the vertical distribution of <br /> hydrocarbons in the groundwater column The proposal was accepted and <br /> approved by the San Joaquin County Public Health Service - Environmental <br />' Health Division (PHS/EHD) The field work was conducted during the first half <br /> of March of this year <br />' 1.1 SITE HISTORY <br /> The site of the subject gasoline release was discovered as a result of a <br />' groundwater monitoring event at the Western Lift Site in the southerly part of <br /> the subject Property (as shown in Figures 1, 2, and 3) In November of 1995, a <br />' former domestic water well on the Property was sampled and analyzed as part of <br /> the monitoring event Detectable levels of gasoline range petroleum <br />' 2937 Veneman Ave ,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone (209) 569-0293 <br /> Modesto, CA 95356 Fax(209)669 0295 <br />
