Bank of Stockton Cutter Lumber Site Page 4 <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report <br />' Project No 102 2 <br /> 3 November 1999 <br />' Extreme care was exercised while collecting samples to prevent agitation of the <br /> water contained in the bailer Water samples were transferred from the bailer <br />' into 40 ml VOA vials preserved with hydrochloric (provided by the analytical <br /> laboratory) All samples were checked for head space bubbles, labeled, inserted <br /> into foam holders and placed m an ice chest cooled to 4°C for transport to the <br />' laboratory <br /> Gasoline contaminated purge & rinseate water generated during the activities <br />' described above was stored on poly drums located on the site American Valley <br /> Environmental will remove this material prior to the next scheduled depth to <br /> water measuring event Documentation of the disposal of purge water from the <br />' last monitoring event is herein attached as Appendix C <br /> 2.2 Groundwater Sample Analyses <br />' Groundwater Y <br /> were analyzed samples l zed as follows <br /> P <br />' • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA method 8015(m) <br /> • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPH as Gasoline) by EPA method <br />' 3030/8015(m) <br /> The detection limits are included in the summary analytical data table (Table 2) <br />' Detectable levels of gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons and/or BTEX <br /> compounds were found in water samples from all the wells which were sampled <br /> 2.3 Field Data <br />' The field data for this groundwater monitoring event are summarized in <br /> Appendix B and Table 1 The level of groundwater has fallen approximately <br /> three feet since the groundwater monitoring event completed in July of this <br />' year The bearing of the groundwater flow has remained generally consistent <br /> however Groundwater gradient calculations for MW-6, 10 & 11 yield the <br /> following gradients and directions <br />' Table: Groundwater Gradient, 1999 <br /> Date Gradient, Direction/Slope <br />' January 19, 1999 N43-E, 0 0024 ft/ft <br /> March 2, 1999 N54-E, 0 0017 ft/ft <br /> March 24, 1999 N45-E, 0 0023 ft/ft <br />' July 7, 1999 N40-E, 0 0038 ft/ft <br /> .
