I
GEOTHASE
ENVIRONMENTAL
' i
REPORT
Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Event
Fourth Quarter 2004
' Cutter Lumber /Western Lift Site
3930 S. El Dorado Street
Stockton, California
CWRCB GID Code T0607700498
' GPE Project No. 1.02.2
January 18, 2005
1.0 INTRODUCTION
' Groundwater monitoring wells were installed at the site in March of 1998 (see
Report: Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation and Winter 1998
Groundwater Monitoring, Cutter Lumber Site, dated April 24, 1998). The initial
round of groundwater sampling was also completed at that time. This report
documents a quarterly round of groundwater sampling completed on December
' 23rd, 2004.
1.1 Site History
' lin release was discovered as a result of a groundwater monitoring
This gasoline ' g
event at the Western Lift Site in the southerly part of the subject Property (as
shown in Figures 1, 2) during which a sample was collected from an on-site
domestic well. After a review of historic records, a former 1,000-gallon
' underground gasoline tank and an above ground diesel tank were identified
along the western Property margin in the north central portion of the site.
Subsequent soil borings confirmed that the release had impacted the vadose
zone soil and the groundwater. In March of 1998, seven groundwater monitoring
wells were installed to monitor the groundwater plume. Two wells, MW-1 and
MW-4 still remain from the initial Western Lift investigation near the south end
lie
of the Property.
2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
