E1 Dorado Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> August 9,2013 <br /> GPE Project No. 102.3 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> The site has been the target of remedial investigation of a:.gasoline release that was first <br /> discovered in 1996. Since 2005, an active remedial system has been operating to mitigate <br /> the release, and it has been successful in removing most of the dissolved hydrocarbons. <br /> On April 8, 2013 a closure report was issued. On July 24, 2013, the San Joaquin County <br /> EHD recieved RWQCB concurrance with the recommended closure. The closure is <br /> conditioned on the proper abandonment of all the wells and-equipment associated with the <br /> remedial investigation. The Work Plan sets forth the procedures and protocols to be used <br /> in the abandonment. <br /> The following section describes.the work that will be completed to abandon the wells in <br /> accordance with regulatory requirements. <br /> 2.0 WELL ABANDONMENT <br /> The following sub-sections describe the work to be completed to properly abandon the 6 <br /> groundwater monitoring wells, 6 soil vapor'extraction wells, and 4 air sparge wells, (16 <br /> total)present on the site. <br /> 2937 Veneman Ave., Suite B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
