I k _y
L
is —
GEGTHASE
ENVIRONMENTAL
! L
Corrective Action Plan - Addendum
Former Manna Pro Site
4004 S. EI Dorado
Stockton, California
'f February 10,2009
Project No.207.3
{ 1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Current Site Status
{ On September 26,. 2003, Geo Phase Environmental, Inc. issuedr a document entitled
Report Vapor Extraction /Air Sp, r e Remedial Sstem Construction. Former Manna
Pro Site. . This report documented the construction and initial operation of the Soil Vapor
Extraction / Air Sparge (SVE/AS) remedial system. This system consists of 11 soil vapor
k extraction wells and 7 air: sparge wells and the associated surface equipment and pipe
runs.
4 The system operation has been successful in removing much of the released gasoline, but
as time has gone on, the rate of contaminant mass removal has decreased to the point
where it is less than two pounds per day. Concurrently, routine groundwater monitoring
data.indicate that the area in the immediate vicinity-of Monitoring Well, MW-1, has been
the slowest to respond to the remedial system and maintains the largest share of the
residual contamination. In an attempt to increase the rate of vapor extraction in this area,
we are proposing to.construct two new service wells: a vapor extractor and a sparge well.
These wells will be tied into the existing surface equipment.
1.2 = Proposed Changes to Scope of Work
1. In order to increase the rate of contaminant mass removal in the immediate
vicinity of MW-1, two new service wells will be constructed. One new airs e ar sparge
well and one new soil vapor extraction well will .be constructed in a manner
similar.to that described in the original CAP.
2937 Ven eman Ave., 413240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
