Laboratory analytical methods will be identical to those descnbed for the characterization soil sampling The results of the confirmation sod sampling will be reported to the ' appropriate regulatory agencies for review, and, rf the confirmation sampling meets all target criteria described in Task 1, then the remedcated sod will be used to complete the tank pit backfilling ' actr4ies Task 5: Backfilling and Compaction After receiving regulatory confirmation that the remediated sod has met all target criteria, earthwork Iwill commence to transfer soil to the tank pit excavation Backfilling will proceed in the manner prescribed under Task 2 of this work plan ITask 6: Final Report Groundwater Technology will prepare a final report describing the sod characterization, remediation activities, and confirmation sampling The final report will also document the backfilling procedures and results The report will include field observations, laboratory analytical reports and compaction testing results The final report will be submitted to the appropriate regulatory agencies Task 7: Project Schedule Groundwater Technology is prepared to begin the preparation phase of this project immediately upon approval of SJCPHS It is estimated that remediation of the impacted sods will require a maximum of approximately four months to complete Assuming that the appropriate regulatory approvals are obtained in a timely manner, it is estimated that backfilling and final reporting for the project could be completed within six months of project start 4.0 CLOSURE To ensure that this work plan is in agreement with the SJCPHS goals for the Manna Pro Facility site, Groundwater Technology requests written approval of this work plan before proceeding with the proposed scope of work II ^T;'GROUNDWATER _--___TECHNOLOGY, INC
