El Dorado
Stockton, California
August 16, 1999
IProject No 207 3
1.0 INTRODUCTION
Field work and groundwater monitoring completed at the site since 1990 show that
former leaking underground storage tanks impacted the soil and groundwater with
gasoline and diesel range petroleum hydrocarbons Engineered remedial work to date has
I consisted of excavation and removal of impacted soil Over the past several years,
groundwater monitoring data has been collected from 14 monitoring, extraction, and
observation wells situated through and around the contaminant plume The available data
suggest that the contaminant plume is stable and has not migrated off of the Property
except in a small area to the west under El Dorado Street The continued high levels of
gasoline and volatile organic hydrocarbons in groundwater samples collected from on-site
I wells, however, suggest that natural attenuation is not adequately mitigating the
groundwater plume Manna Pro has therefor agreed to investigate several potential
methods of engineered remedial action which may be employed to adequately mitigate
the contaminated groundwater This Work Plan is submitted to propose methods and
protocols to conduct work which will investigate the feasibility of several options
designed to remove petroleum hydrocarbons from the subsurface Work to characterize
the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in deeper groundwater aquifers will also be
completed
I
2937 Veneman Ave,#13240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
