' Former Manna Pro Site Page 4 Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report ' Project No 207 2 • January 17,2001 r ' Gasoline contaminated purge & nnseate water generated during the activities described above was stored in poly drums located on the site American Valley Environmental will remove this material prior to the next scheduled depth to water measuring event ' 2.2 Groundwater Sample Analyses ' Groundwater samples were analyzed as follows • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA method 8015(m) ' • Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene (BTEX) by EPA method 602 The detection limits are included in the summary analytical data table(Table 1) ' Detectable levels of gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons and/or BTEX compounds were found in water samples from one of the four wells that were sampled 2.3 Field Data The field data for this groundwater monitoring event are summarized in Appendix B and Table 1 The level of groundwater has fallen about 13/4 feet since the last groundwater ,. monitoring event completed on July 20, 2000 The northeasterly bearing of groundwater flow as shown in Figure 3, is generally consistent with past monitoring events, and is also consistent with the direction observed in the Cutter Lumber site, adjacent to the north Based on the field data obtained in this monitoring event, the overall groundwater gradient and bearing of flow as determined by a 3-point calculation from wells MW-4, MW-8 and ' MW-9 is 0 00074 ft/ft on a bearing of N610E This compares with a gradient and bearing of 0 00058 ft/ft on a bearing of N58°E from the July monitoring event In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the Oxygen Release Compound (ORC), which was placed in soil boring ORC-1 during the recent pilot test program, the level of dissolved oxygen in MW-6 is being monitored The oxygen level was determined with a YSI dissolved oxygen meter In this event the concentration of oxygen so measured was 0 54 ppm, which represents the background level The observed DO readings from 2000 are ' presented in Appendix 2 2.4 Waste Disposal rPurge water from this monitoring event has been temporarily stored in 55-gallon drums on the site American Valley Waste Oil, a licensed hazardous waste hauler collected will 1 remove the purge water for recycling prior to the next monitoring event 2937 Veneman Ave,##B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone(209)569-0293 Modesto,CA 95356 Fax(209)569-0293
